When a generation fails, and what happens to your credits

    Short answer

Most generations only charge when they deliver, so a failure costs nothing and a retry is free; research, keyword tables, pictures and video refund automatically when they fall short, and the one thing never refunded is a finished video you dislike.

Something went wrong and you want to know two things: did it cost you, and what now. The short version is that you almost never pay for a failure, and you never have to ask for a refund. The rest of this page is the long version, case by case.

A table of the ways a generation can fail, from an errored ad to a stopped video, with what happens to the credits and what to do next
Most failures are never charged. The rest come back on their own. Only a finished video you dislike stays paid.

Ads, posts, articles and emails: never charged

Text generations charge only when they hand you the result. Ads for every platform, social posts, articles, emails, scripts, strategy and frameworks all work this way, so an error costs nothing and Retry is free.

The same goes for a list that comes back far too short. Ask for ten ideas and get three, and it counts as a failure rather than a delivery: nothing is charged. A list with at least half of what was asked for counts as delivered.

The brief: keep the tab open

The brief is written in your browser tab. Close the tab mid-run and the run stops, with nothing charged, so starting again costs you only the minute it takes.

If your website blocks automated readers, nothing is charged either, and Aiter offers the manual route: describe the product yourself, or build from files and videos. If only some of several sources fail, you choose whether to carry on without them, and the ones that could not be read come back as credits.

Research: you get the report either way

Research reports run on our side for ten to twenty minutes, so closing the tab is fine. Each one is checked before you see it. If too much of a report cannot be confirmed, you still get the whole report, the doubtful companies are named at the top, and the 20 credits come back. If a report cannot be written at all, the credits come back too.

Review research checks first whether your product has public reviews. If it has none, you are told before anything is charged, and you can paste your own review links instead.

    Pictures, keywords and video

Banners and images are paid when you press Generate, and a picture that fails comes back as 5 credits.

Keyword tables cost 10 because their numbers come from live search data. If the numbers cannot be fetched, the keywords still arrive and 9 credits come back. Refreshing the numbers later is free.

Video is paid step by step, and the render when you press Generate video. A render that stops partway refunds the part it did not finish, and Finish completes the video from where it stopped for those same credits. A video that renders and that you do not like is the one thing not refunded, because it cost the same to make as one you love. Send feedback anyway, since that is how it gets better.

    When a result never appeared

Keep the page open until a result shows. A reload or a dropped connection in the last seconds of a run can lose a result that was already charged. If that happens, tell support which campaign and section it was; the charge is on record.

    Telling support

Write from the chat inside the app, on paid plans, or to hello@aiter.io. Four things make it quick: the campaign, the section, what you clicked, and the code at the bottom of the error message if there was one (it looks like AIT-A101). A screenshot beats a paragraph.

    Frequently asked questions

Do I have to ask for a refund?

No. Refunds happen on their own, usually before you have noticed anything went wrong.

Why did a short list still cost a credit?

A list counts as delivered once it has at least half the items asked for. Below that, it is treated as a failure and costs nothing.

    Where do refunded credits go?

Back into your balance straight away, where the next generation can use them.
